ABOUT JULIE BERNARD

The voice of Elvis Presley rocked me to sleep as a child and got into my soul. I was hooked on the first note and learned piano, fiddle, guitar and to sing. The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and countless other bands filled me with inspiration. Their lyrics, their melodies, their rhythms, their harmonies…what a time to be alive!

I love to share with others what music makes me feel. There is nothing like singing to audiences of any size and seeing them transform. It is my superpower, my passion, my joy.

So come along with me on my musical journey…

ABOUT THE BAND

THE RIVERTOWN TRIO has been playing music all over the Bay Area since 2014, wowing audiences with their unique take on well-chosen country rock and Americana tunes and their stunning three-part harmonies. They are an exquisite example of how fate, chemistry and veteran musicianship can come together to make a beautiful whole. Not only is their music compelling and unique, but their love of music and the way they relate to each other on stage is fun to watch.

The members, Gary Vogensen (lead guitar, harmonica, vocals) and Russ Gauthier (guitar, mandolin, fiddle, vocals), both veteran musicians, toured with New Riders of the Purple Sage for more than a decade and have played with Mike Bloomfield, Commander Cody, Etta James, Elvin Bishop, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and many more notable bands. Julie Bernard (vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion), their band leader, has played for over ten years with various local bands and brings her talent, warmth, and enthusiasm to the trio. Julie brings joy to the stage and her lifelong passion for music shines through!
